I think that Dunlop 65 cymbal intensive cleaner works very well on cymbals that are really mucky, such as when they are covered in finger grease, stick marks, and have a cloudy appearance or surface dirt. It is a bit less violent than some similar products, which means that it does not have the same propensity to leave a residue behind, but you might need multiple passes.
Tip a small amount onto T-shirt material, or dribble onto the surface if really bad condition, rub firmly on the surface, and then rub off with a clean piece of cloth. You have to use a very firm action when rubbing off, and keep moving to a clean piece of cloth to remove the product properly. Working on a small area at a time, rather than the whole cymbal is a good idea. It will cause the logos/stickers to fade unless you take care to avoid them. Follow up with a milder cymbal cleaner to get more shine, such as Dunlop 65 cymbal polish and cleaner (manufacturer code 6434).
The bottle is small for the price, but I'm willing to pay that much for the results I get.
